Bashir Bin Sad said: Allah has commanded us to bless you. Messenger of Allah! But how should we bless you? He the narrator said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept quiet and we were so much perturbed over his silence that we wished we had not asked him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: For blessing me say: 0 Allah; bless Muhammad and the members of his household as Thou didst bless the mernbers of Ibrahim household. Grant favours to Muhammad and the members of his household as Thou didst grant favours to the members of the household of Ibrahim in the world. Thou art indeed Praiseworthy and Glorious ; and salutation as you know. SahihMuslim-017-001-23378
- Narrated Urwa: I asked Aisha the wife of the Prophet ﷺ about the meaning of the following Verse: - Respite will be granted Until when the apostles give up hope of their people and thought that they were denied by their people............... 12.110 Aisha replied; Really; their nations did not believe them. I said; By Allah! They were definite that their nations treated them as liars and it was not a matter of suspecting. Aisha said; O Uraiya i.e. Urwa ! No doubt; they were quite sure about it. I said; May the Verse be read in such a way as to mean that the apostles thought that Allah did not help them? Aisha said; Allah forbid! Impossible The Apostles did not suspect their Lord of such a thing. But this Verse is concerned with the Apostles followers who had faith in their Lord and believed in their apostles and their period of trials was long and Allah Help was delayed till the apostles gave up hope for the conversion of the disbelievers amongst their nation and suspected that even their followers were shaken in their belief; Allah Help then came to them. - Jabir Bin Abdullah reported: While I was sitting in my house there happened to pass by me Allah Messenger ﷺ. He made a gesture to me and I stood up for him. He took hold of my hand until we came to one of the apartments of his wives. He entered and then asked me to get in. So I entered and there was hanging a curtain beside her. He the Holy Prophet said: Is there any food with you ? They the members of the household said: Yes And then there were brought three loaves of bread for him the Holy Prophet and placed in the basket of palm leaves. Allah Messenger ﷺ picked up one loaf and placed that before him; and then picked up another one and placed it before me. He then picked up the third one and broke it into two parts; and kept the one-half before him and the other half before me; and then said: Is there any condiment? They the members of the household said: There is nothing in the form of condiment but some vinegar only. He said: Bring that; for vinegar is a good condiment. SahihMuslim-017-001-21135
- Abu Tufail reported that there was a dispute between Hudhaifa and one from the people of Aqaba as it happens amongst people. He said: I adjure you by Allah to tell me as to how many people from Aqaba were. The people said to him Hudhaifa to inform him as he had asked. We have been informed that they were fourteen and If you are to be counted amongst them; then they would be fifteen and I state by Allah that twelve amongst them were the enemies of Allah and of His Messenger ﷺ in this world. The rest of the three put forward this excuse: We did not hear the announcement of Allah Messenger ﷺ and we were not aware of the intention of the people as he the Holy Prophet had been in the hot atmosphere. He the Holy Prophet then said: The water is small in quantity at the next station. So nobody should go ahead of me; but he found people who had gone ahead of him and he cursed them on that day. SahihMuslim-017-001-19312
- Aisha reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a mat and he used it for making an apartment during the night and observed prayer in it; and the people began to pray with him; and he spread it the mat during the day time. The people crowded round him one night. He the Holy Prophet then said: O people; perform such acts as you are capable of doing; for Allah does not grow weary but you will get tired. The acts most pleasing to Allah are those which are done continuously; even if they are small. And it was the habit of the members of Muhammad ﷺ household that whenever they did an act they did it continuously. SahihMuslim-017-001-23886
