And if (at any time) an incitement to discord is made to thee by the Evil One, seek refuge in Allah. He is the One Who hears and knows all things.
O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses, - until leave is given you, - for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah's sight an enormity.

A big rock fell from the mountain over the mouth of the cave and blocked it. They said to each other. Think of such good righteous deeds which; you did for Allah sake only; and invoke Allah by giving reference to those deeds so that Allah may relieve you from your difficulty. one of them said; O Allah! I had my parents who were very old and I had small children for whose sake I used to work as a shepherd. When I returned to them at night and milked the sheep ; I used to start giving the milk to my parents first before giving to my children. And one day I went far away in search of a grazing place for my sheep ; and didnt return home till late at night and found that my parents had slept. I milked my livestock as usual and brought the milk vessel and stood at their heads; and I disliked to wake them up from their sleep; and I also disliked to give the milk to my children before my parents though my children were crying from hunger at my feet. So this state of mine and theirs continued till the day dawned. O Allah! If you considered that I had done that only for seeking Your pleasure; then please let there be an opening through which we can see the sky. So Allah made for them an opening through which they could see the sky. Then the second person said; O Allah! I had a cousin whom I loved as much as a passionate man love a woman. I tried to seduce her but she refused till I paid her one-hundred Dinars So I worked hard till I collected one hundred Dinars and went to her with that But when I sat in between her legs to have sexual intercourse with her ; she said; O Allah slave! Be afraid of Allah ! Do not deflower me except legally by marriage contract. So I left her O Allah! If you considered that I had done that only for seeking Your pleasure then please let the rock move a little to have a wider opening. So Allah shifted that rock to make the opening wider for them. And the last third person said O Allah ! I employed a laborer for wages equal to a Faraq a certain measure: of rice; and when he had finished his job he demanded his wages; but when I presented his due to him; he gave it up and refused to take it. Then I kept on sowing that rice for him several times till managed to buy with the price of the yield; some cows and their shepherd Later on the laborer came to me an said. O Allah slave! Be afraid o Allah; and do not be unjust to me an give me my due. I said to him. Go and take those cows and their shepherd. So he took them and went away. So; O Allah! If You considered that I had done that for seeking Your pleasure; then please remove the remaining part of the rock. And so Allah released them from their difficulty. The Chapter on Love And Emotions And Child in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The invocation of the person who is dutiful to his parents if fulfilled in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3052Narrated Urban Bin Malik: who attended the Badr battle and was from the Ansar; that he came to the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Apostle! I have lost my eyesight and I lead my people in the prayer as an Imam. When it rains; the valley which is between me and my people; flows with water; and then I cannot go to their Masjid to lead them in the prayer. O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I wish that you could come and pray in my house so that I may take it as a praying place. The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah willing; I will do that. The next morning; soon after the sun had risen; Allah Messenger ﷺ came with Abu Bakr. The Prophet ﷺ asked for the permission to enter and I admitted him. The Prophet ﷺ had not sat till he had entered the house and said to me; Where do you like me to pray in your house? I pointed at a place in my house whereupon he stood and said; Allahu Akbar. We lined behind him and he prayed two rakat and finished it with Taslim. We then requested him to stay for a special meal of Khazira which we had prepared. A large number of men from the adjoining area gathered in the house. One of them said; Where is Malik Bin AlDukhshun? Another man said; He is a hypocrite and does not love Allah and His Apostle. The Prophet said; Do not say so. Do you not think that he has said: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah; seeking Allah pleasure? The man said; Allah and His Apostle know better; but we have always seen him mixing with hypocrites and giving them advice. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3076Narrated Anas Bin Malik: Allah Messenger ﷺ said to Abu Talha ; Seek one of your boys to serve me. Abu Talha mounted me behind him on his riding animal and took me to the Prophet ﷺ. So I used to serve Allah Messenger ﷺ whenever he dismounted to stay somewhere. I used to hear him saying very often; O Allah! I seek refuge with You from; having worries sadness; helplessness; laziness; miserliness; cowardice; from being heavily in debt and from being overpowered by other persons unjustly. I kept on serving till we -returned from the battle of Khaibar. The Prophet ﷺ then brought Safiya bint Huyai whom he had won from the war booty. I saw him folding up a gown or a garment for her to sit on behind him on his shecamel. When he reached AlSahba; he prepared Hais and placed it on a dining sheet. Then he sent me to invite men; who came and ate; and that was his and Safiya wedding banquet. Then the Prophet proceeded; and when he saw noticed the mountain of Uhud; he said; This mountain loves us; and we love it. When we approached Medina; he said; O Allah! Once I wished to see a dream and narrate it to the Prophet ﷺ I was young; unmarried; and used to sleep in the Masjid during the lifetime of the Prophet. I dreamt that two angels took me and went away with me towards the Hell Fire which looked like a well with the inside walls built up; and had two side-walls like those of a well. There I saw some people in it whom I knew. I started saying; I seek Refuge with Allah from the Hell Fire; I seek Refuge with Allah from the Hell Fire. Then another angel met the other two and said to me; Do not be afraid. I narrated my dream to Hafsa who; in her turn; narrated it to the Prophet. SahihMuslim-017-001-17957Amir Bin Saad reported on the authority of his father Saad Bin Abi Waqqas : Allah Messenger ﷺ visited me in my illness which brought me near death in the year of Hajjat AlWada Farewell Pilgrimage. I said: Allah Messenger; you can well see the pain with which I am afflicted and I am a man possessing wealth; and there is none to inherit me except only one daughter. Should I give two-thirds of my property as Sadaqa? He said: No. I said: Should I give half of my property as Sadaqa? He said: No. He further said: Give one-third in charity and that is quite enough. To leave your heirs rich is better than to leave them poor; begging from people; that you would never incur an expense seeking therewith the pleasure of Allah; but you would be rewarded therefor; even for a morsel of food that you put in the mouth of your wife. I said: Allah Messenger. would I survive my companions? He the Holy Prophet said: If you survive them; then do such a deed by means of which you seek the pleasure of Allah; but you would increase in your status in religion and prestige; you may survive so that people would benefit from you; and others would be harmed by you. The Holy Prophet further said: Allah; complete for my Companions their migration; and not cause them to turn back upon their heels. Saad Bin Khaula is; however; unfortunate. He said: No. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Go back; I will not seek help from a Mushrik polytheist. He went on until we reached Shajara; where the man met him again. He asked him the same question again and the man gave him the same answer. He said: Go back. Im will not seek help from a Mushrik. The man returned and overtook him at Baida? SahihMuslim-017-001-18618It is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that when it was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth and whether you disclose that which is in your mind or conceal it; Allah will call you to account according to it. Then He forgives whom He pleases and chastises whom He Pleases; and Allah is over everything Potent ii. 284. the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ felt it hard and severe and they came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and sat down on their knees and said: Messenger of Allah; we were assigned some duties which were within our power to perform; such as prayer; fasting; struggling in the cause of Allah ; charity. Then this the above-mentioned verse was revealed unto you and it is beyond our power to live up to it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Do you intend to say what the people of two books Jews and Christians said before you: We hear and disobey? You should rather say: We hear and we obey; we seek Thy forgiveness; our Lord! and unto Thee is the return. And they said: We hear and we obey; we seek Thy forgiveness; Our Lord! and unto Thee is the return. When the people recited it and it smoothly flowed on their tongues; then Allah revealed immediately afterwards: The Apostle believes in that which is sent down unto him from his Lord; and so do the believers. Each one believes in Allah and His Angels and His Books and His Apostles; saying: We differentiate not between any of His Apostles and they say: We hearken and we obey: we seek Thy forgiveness; our Lord! and unto Thee is the return ii. 285. When they did that; Allah abrogated this verse and the Great; Majestic Allah revealed: Allah burdens not a soul beyond its capacity. It gets every good that it earns and it suffers every ill that it earns. Our Lord; punish us not if we forget or make a mistake. The Prophet said: Yes; our Lord! do not lay on us a burden as Thou didst lay on those before us. The Prophet said: Yes; our Lord; impose not on us burdens which we have not the strength to bear The Prophet said: Yes; and pardon us and grant us protection! and have mercy on us. SahihMuslim-017-001-18905Abu Saeed AlKhudri reported: I did not hear this hadith from Allah Apostle ﷺ directly but it was Zaid Bin Thabit who narrated it from him. As Allah Apostle ﷺ was going along with us towards the dwellings of Bani AlNajjar; riding upon his pony; it shied and he was about to fall. He found four; five or six graves there. He said: Who amongst you knows about those lying in the graves? A person said: It is I. Thereupon he the Holy Prophet said: In what state did they die? He said: They died as polytheists. He said: These people are passing through the ordeal in the graves. If it were not the reason that you would stop burying your dead in the graves on listening to the torment in the grave which I am listening to; I would have certainly made you hear that. Then turning his face towards us; he said: Seek refuge with Allah from the torment of Hell. They said: We seek refuge with Allah from the torment of Hell. He said: Seek refuge with Allah from the torment of the grave. They said: We seek refuge with Allah from the torment of the grave. They say: We come from Thine servants upon the earth who had been glorifying Thee reciting Subhan Allah ; uttering Thine Greatness saying Allah o-Akbar and uttering Thine Oneness La ilaha ill Allah and praising Thee uttering AlHamdu Lillah and begging of Thee. Be would say: What do they beg of Me? They would say: They beg of Thee the Paradise of Thine. He God would say: Have they seen My Paradise? They said: No; our Lord. He would say: What it would be then if they were to see Mine Paradise? They the angels said: They seek Thine protection. He the Lord would say: Against what do they seek protection of Mine? They the angels would say: Our Lord; from the Hell-Fire. He the Lord would say: Have they seen My Fire? They would say: No. He the Lord would say: What it would be if they were to see My Fire? They would say: They beg of Thee forgiveness. He would say: I grant pardon to them; and confer upon them what they ask for and grant them protection against which they seek protection. They the angels would again say: Our Lord; there is one amongst them such and such simple servant who happened to pass by that assembly and sat there along with them who had been participating in that assembly. He said: No; I did not come except seeking this Hadith. So he said: Indeed; I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: Whoever takes a path upon which he seeks knowledge; then Allah makes a path to Paradise easy for him. And indeed the angels lower their wings in approval to the one seeking knowledge. Indeed forgiveness is sought for the knowledgeable one by whomever is in the heavens and whomever is in the earth; even the fish in the waters. And superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon over the rest of the celestial bodies. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-9197Abu AlDarda narrated that the Messenger of Allah s.a.w said: The inhabitants of the Fire will suffer from a hunger equal to the punishment they experience; so they will seek relief; and be given to eat of Dari; which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. So they will again seek food to relieve their hunger ; and they will be given to eat of a food that causes one to choke. Then they will remember that they used remedy for choking in the world by drinking something. So they will seek relief from drink. Then they will be given Hamim with meat hooks; so when it comes toward their faces it melts their faces; and when it enters their insides it cuts up what is inside of them. So some of them say: Call the keepers of Hell so they say: Did there not come to you your Messengers with clear signs? They say: Yes! They say: Then call as you like. And the invocation of the disbelievers is nothing but in vain. He said: They will say: Call Malik. So they say: O Malik! Let your Lord make an end of us! I ask thee for the good of what this night contains; and the good of what comes after it; and I seek refuge in Thee from the evil of what this night contains; and from the evil of what comes after it. My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from indolence; the evil of old age or of disbelief. My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from a punishment in Hell and a punishment in the grave. In the morning he said that also: we have come to the morning; and in the morning the dominion belongs to Allah.Abu Dawud said: Shubah transmitted from Salamah Bin Kuhail; from Ibrahim Bin Suwaid; saying: from the evil of old age. He did not mention the evil of disbelief. The Chapter on Allah Characteristics Vs Evil in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on What to say when waking up in Sunan Abu Dawoud
SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-27033Narrated Abu Bakrah: Abdulrahman Ibn Abu Bakrah said that he told his father: O my father! I hear you supplicating every morning: O Allah! Grant me health in my body. O Allah! Grant me good hearing. O Allah! Grant me good eyesight. There is no god but Thou. You repeat them three times in the morning and three times in the evening. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ using these words as a supplication and I like to follow his practice. The transmitter; Abbas; said in this version: And you say: O Allah! I seek refuge in Thee from infidelity and poverty. O Allah! I seek refuge in Thee from punishment in the grave. There is no god but Thee. You repeat them three times in the morning and three times in the evening; and use them as a supplication. I like to follow his practice. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The supplications to be used by one who is distressed are: O Allah! Thy mercy is what I hope for. Do not abandon me to myself for an instant; but put all my affairs in good order for me. There is no god but Thou. MuwataMalik-017-001-34271Yahya related to me from Malik from AbuzZubayr AlMakki from Tawus AlYamani from Abdullah Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; used to teach this dua in the same way that he would teach them a Surat of the Quran; O Allah; I seek refuge in You from the torment of Jahannam; and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Dajjal; and I seek refuge in You from the trial of life and death. Allahumma inniy audhu bika min adhabi jahannama; wa audhu bika min adhabil-qabri; wa audhu bika min fitnatil-mahya wa mamati. The Chapter on Supplication And Torment Seeking Refuge From Grave Punishment And Aldajjal in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prayer in Congregation in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-34599Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya Ibn Said said; When the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; was taken on the Night Journey; he saw an evil jinn seeking him with a torch of fire. Whenever the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; turned; he saw him. Jibril said to him; Shall I teach you some words to say? When you say them; his torch will be put out and will fall from him. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Yes; indeed. Jibril said; Say; I seek refuge with the Noble Face of Allah and with the complete words of Allah which neither the good person nor the corrupt can exceed; from the evil of what descends from the sky and the evil of what ascends in it; and from the evil of what is created in the earth and the evil of what comes out of it; and from the trials of the night and day; and from the visitations of the night and day; except for one that knocks with good; O Merciful! The Chapter on Supplication And Torment Seeking Refuge From Evil in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Judgements in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-34860Ibn Abi Abdulrahman said; I asked Said Ibn AlMusayab; How much for the finger of a woman? He said; Ten camels I said; How much for two fingers? He said; Twenty camels. I said; How much for three? He said; Thirty camels. I said; How much for four? He said; Twenty camels. I said; When her wound is greater and her affliction stronger; is her blood-money then less? He said; Are you an Iraqi? I said; Rather; I am a scholar who seeks to verify things; or an ignorant man who seeks to learn. Said said; It is the sunna; my nephew. Malik said; What is done in our community about all the fingers of the hand being cut off is that its blood- money is complete. That is because when five fingers are cut; their blood-money is the blood-money of the hand: fifty camels. Each finger has ten camels. Malik said; The reckoning of the fingers is thirty-three dinars for each fingertip; and that is three and a third shares of camels. The Chapter on Camels And Herdsmen Control And Managing in HodHood Indexing, The Book of General Subjects in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35395Yahya related to me from Malik that Humayd Ibn Qays and Thawr Ibn Zayd adDili both informed him that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; and one of them gave more detail than the other ;saw a man standing in the sun. The Messenger asked; What wrong with him? The people said; He has vowed not to speak or to seek shade from the sun or to sit and to fast. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Go and tell him to speak; seek shade; and sit; but let him complete his fast. Malik said; I have not heard that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; ordered the man in question to do any kaffara. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; only ordered him to complete that in which there was obedience to Allah and to abandon that in which there was disobedience to Allah. The Chapter on Peace And Evil in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Jihad in Muwata Malik
