| SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2079 | | Narrated AlBara Bin Azib that once he had a guest; so he told his family on the Day of Eid AlAdha that they should slaughter the animal for sacrifice before he returned from the Id prayer in order that their guest could take his meal. So his family slaughtered the animal before the prayer. Then they mentioned that event to the Prophet who ordered AlBara to slaughter another sacrifice. AlBara said to the Prophet ﷺ ; I have a young milch goat which is better than two sheep for slaughtering. Those who purchase a small gain at the cost of Allah covenants and their own oaths. 3.77 The sub-narrator added: AlAshath Bin Qais entered; saying; What did Abu Abdulrahman narrate to you? | SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2153 | | Narrated Abu Huraira: By Allah except Whom none has the right to- be worshipped; sometimes I used to lay sleep on the ground on my liver abdomen because of hunger; and sometimes I used to bind a stone over my belly because of hunger. One day I sat by the way from where they the Prophet ﷺ and h is companions used to come out. When Abu Bakr passed by; I asked him about a Verse from Allah Book and I asked him only that he might satisfy my hunger; but he passed by and did not do so. Then Umar passed by me and I asked him about a Verse from Allah Book; and I asked him only that he might satisfy my hunger; but he passed by without doing so. Finally Abu AlQasim the Prophet ﷺ passed by me and he smiled when he saw me; for he knew what was in my heart and on my face. He said; O Aba Hirr Abu Huraira ! I replied; Labbaik; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said to me; Follow me. He left and I followed him. Then he entered the house and I asked permission to enter and was admitted. He found milk in a bowl and said; From where is this milk? They said; It has been presented to you by such-and-such man or by such and such woman. He said; O Aba Hirr! I said; Labbaik; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; Go and call the people of Suffa to me. These people of Suffa were the guests of Islam who had no families; nor money; nor anybody to depend upon; and whenever an object of charity was brought to the Prophet ﷺ ; he would send it to them and would not take anything from it; and whenever any present was given to him; he used to send some for them and take some of it for himself. The order off the Prophet upset me; and I said to myself; How will this little milk be enough for the people of AlSuffa? thought I was more entitled to drink from that milk in order to strengthen myself; but behold! The Prophet ﷺ came to order me to give that milk to them. I wondered what will remain of that milk for me; but anyway; I could not but obey Allah and His Apostle so I went to the people of AlSuffa and called them; and they came and asked the Prophet permission to enter. They were admitted and took their seats in the house. The Prophet ﷺ said; O Aba Hirr! I said; Labbaik; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; Take it and give it to them. So I took the bowl of Milk and started giving it to one man who would drink his fill and return it to me; whereupon I would give it to another man who; in his turn; would drink his fill and return it to me; and I would then offer it to another man who would drink his fill and return it to me. Finally; after the whole group had drunk their fill; I reached the Prophet ﷺ who took the bowl and put it on his hand; looked at me and smiled and said. O Aba Hirr! I replied; Labbaik; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; There remain you and I. I said; You have said the truth; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; Sit down and drink. I sat down and drank. He said; Drink; and I drank. He kept on telling me repeatedly to drink; till I said; No. by Allah Who sent you with the Truth; I have no space for it in my stomach. He said; Hand it over to me. We are owners of livestock and have never been farmers; and they found the climate of Medina unsuitable for them. So Allah Messenger ﷺ ordered that they be given some camels and a shepherd; and ordered them to go out with those camels and drink their milk and urine. So they set out; but when they reached a place called AlHarra; they reverted to disbelief after their conversion to Islam; killed the shepherd and drove away the camels. When this news reached the Prophet ﷺ he sent in their pursuit and they were caught and brought. When believing women come to you as emigrants; examine them... 60.10 So if anyone of those believing women accepted the above mentioned conditions; she accepted the conditions of faith. When they agreed on those conditions and confessed that with their tongues; Allah Messenger ﷺ would say to them; Go; I have accepted your oath of allegiance for Islam. So Maaqil disagreed to remarry her to him. | SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3253 | | Narrated Zaid Bin Thabit: Abu Bakr AlSiddiq sent for me when the people! of Yamama had been killed i.e.; a number of the Prophet Companions who fought against Mousailama. I went to him and found Umar Bin AlKhattab sitting with him. Abu Bakr then said to me ; Umar has come to me and said: Casualties were heavy among the Qurra of the! Quran i.e. those who knew the Quran by heart on the day of the Battle of Yalmama; and I am afraid that more heavy casualties may take place among the Qurra on other battlefields; whereby a large part of the Quran may be lost. Therefore I suggest; you Abu Bakr order that the Quran be collected. I said to Umar; How can you do something which Allah Apostle did not do? Umar said; By Allah; that is a good project. Umar kept on urging me to accept his proposal till Allah opened my chest for it and I began to realize the good in the idea which Umar had realized. Then Abu Bakr said to me. You are a wise young man and we do not have any suspicion about you; and you used to write the Divine Inspiration for Allah Messenger ﷺ. So you should search for the fragmentary scripts of the Quran and collect it in one book. By Allah If they had ordered me to shift one of the mountains; it would not have been heavier for me than this ordering me to collect the Quran. Then I said to Abu Bakr; How will you do something which Allah Messenger ﷺ did not do? Abu Bakr replied; By Allah; it is a good project. Abu Bakr kept on urging me to accept his idea until Allah opened my chest for what He had opened the chests of Abu Bakr and Umar. So I started looking for the Quran and collecting it from what was written on palmed stalks; thin white stones and also from the men who knew it by heart; till I found the last Verse of Surat AlTauba Repentance with Abi Khuzaima AlAnsari; and I did not find it with anybody other than him. The Verse is: Verily there has come unto you an Apostle Muhammad from amongst yourselves.
