SahihAlBukhari-017-001-089Narrated Mahmud Bin AlRabi AlAnsari: that he remembered Allah Messenger ﷺ and he also remembered a mouthful of water which he had thrown on his face; after taking it from a well that was in their house. Mahmud said that he had heard Itban Bin Malik; who was present with Allah Messenger ﷺ in the battle of Badr saying; I used to lead my people at Bani Salim in the prayer and there was a valley between me and those people. Whenever it rained it used to be difficult for me to cross it to go to their Masjid. So I went to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said; I have weak eyesight and the valley between me and my people flows during the rainy season and it becomes difficult for me to cross it; I wish you would come to my house and pray at a place so that I could take that place as a praying place. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; I will do so. So Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr came to my house in the next morning after the sun had risen high. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked my permission to let him in and I admitted him. He did not sit before saying; Where do you want us to offer the prayer in your house? I pointed to the place where I wanted him to pray. So Allah Messenger ﷺ stood up for the prayer and started the prayer with Takbir and we aligned in rows behind him; and he offered two rakat; and finished them with Taslim; and we also performed Taslim with him. I detained him for a meal called KhaZirr which I had prepared for him.- KhaZirr is a special type of dish prepared from barley flour and meat soup - When the neighbors got the news that Allah Messenger ﷺ was in my house; they poured it till there were a great number of men in the house. One of them said; What is wrong with Malik; for I do not see him? One of them replied; He is a hypocrite and does not love Allah and His Apostle. On that Allah Apostle said; Dont say this. Havent you seen that he said; None has the right to be worshipped but Allah for Allah sake only. The man replied; Allah and His Apostle know better; but by Allah; we never saw him but helping and talking with the hypocrites. Allah Messenger ﷺ replied; No doubt; whoever says. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah; and by that he wants the pleasures of Allah; then Allah will save him from Hell. Mahmud added; I told the above narration to some people; one of whom was Abu Ayoub ; the companion of Allah Messenger ﷺ in the battle in which he Abu Ayoub died and Yazid Bin Muawiya was their leader in Roman Territory. Abu Ayoub denounced the narration and said; I doubt that Allah Messenger ﷺ ever said what you have said. I felt that too much; and I vowed to Allah that if I remained alive in that holy battle; I would go to Medina and ask Itban Bin Malik if he was still living in the Masjid of his people. So when he returned; I assumed Ihram for Hajj or Umra and then I proceeded on till I reached Medina. I went to Bani Salim and Itban Bin Malik; who was by then an old blind man; was leading his people in the prayer. When he finished the prayer; I greeted him and introduced myself to him and then asked him about that narration. He told that narration again in the same manner as he had narrated it the first time. The Chapter on Leave in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To offer Nawafil in congregation in Sahih AlBukhari

So Allah Messenger ﷺ ﷺ gave his shirt to him and said; Inform me When the funeral is ready so that I may offer the funeral prayer. So; he informed him and when the Prophet intended to offer the funeral prayer; Umar took hold of his hand and said; Has Allah not forbidden you to offer the funeral prayer for the hypocrites? The Prophet ﷺ said; I have been given the choice for Allah says: It does not avail Whether you O Muhammad ask forgiveness for them hypocrites ; or do not ask for forgiveness for them. We lined behind him and he prayed two rakat and finished it with Taslim. We then requested him to stay for a special meal of Khazira which we had prepared. A large number of men from the adjoining area gathered in the house. One of them said; Where is Malik Bin AlDukhshun? Another man said; He is a hypocrite and does not love Allah and His Apostle. The Prophet said; Do not say so. Do you not think that he has said: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah; seeking Allah pleasure? Certainly they disbelieved in Allah and His Apostle and died in a state of rebellion. 9.84The Chapter on Seeking Forgiveness in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophetic Commentary on the Quran Tafseer of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-914Narrated Itban Bin Malik: who was one of the companions of Allah Messenger ﷺ and one of the Ansar who took part in the battle of Badr: I came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ I have weak eyesight and I lead my people in prayers. When it rains the water flows in the valley between me and my people so I cannot go to their Masjid to lead them in prayer. O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I wish you would come to my house and pray in it so that I could take that place as a Mousalla. Allah Messenger ﷺ said. Allah willing; I will do so. Next day after the sun rose high; Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr came and Allah Messenger ﷺ asked for permission to enter. I gave him permission and he did not sit on entering the house but said to me; Where do you like me to pray? I pointed to a place in my house. So Allah Messenger ﷺ stood there and said; Allahu Akbar; and we all got up and aligned behind him and offered a two-rakat prayer and ended it with Taslim. We requested him to stay for a meal called Khazira which we had prepared for him. Many members of our family gathered in the house and one of them said; Where is Malik Bin AlDukhaishin or Ibn AlDukhshun? One of them replied; He is a hypocrite and does not love Allah and His Apostle. Hearing that; Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Do not say so. Havent you seen that he said; None has the right to be worshipped but Allah for Allah sake only? He said; Allah and His Apostle know better. We have seen him helping and advising hypocrites. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Allah has forbidden the Hell fire for those who say; None has the right to be worshipped but Allah for Allah sake only. The Chapter on Leave in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on About taking the Masjids in the houses in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihMuslim-017-001-18759It is reported on the authority of Abu AlZubair that he heard from Jabir b Abdullah; who was asked about the arrival of people on the Day of Resurrection. He said. We would come on the Day of Resurrection like this; like this; and see. carefully. that which concerns elevated people. He the narrator said: Then the people would be summoned along with their idols whom they worshipped; one after another. Then our Lord would come to us and say: Whom are you waiting for? They would say: We are waiting for our Lord. He would say: I am your Lord. They would say: We are not sure till we gaze at Thee; and He would manifest Himself to them smilingly; and would go along with them and they would follow Him; and every person; whether a hypocrite or a believer; would be endowed with a light; and there would be spikes and hooks on the bridge of the Hell; which would catch hold of those whom Allah willed. Then the light of the hypocrites would be extinguished; and the believers would secure salvation. and the first group to achieve it would comprise seventy thousand men who would have the brightness of full moon on their faces; and they would not be called to account. Then the people immediately following them would have their faces as the brightest stars in the heaven. This is how the groups would follow one after another. Then the stage of intercession would come; and they who are permitted to intercede would intercede; till he who had declared: There is no god but Allah and had in his heart virtue of the weight of a barley grain would come out of the Fire. They would be then brought in the courtyard of Paradise and the inhabitants of Paradise would begin to sprinkle water over them till they would sprout like the sprouting of a thing in flood water; and their burns would disappear. They would ask their Lord till they would be granted the bounties of the world and with it ten more besides it.The Chapter on Admittance To Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 84 in Sahih Muslim

He Abu Bakr said: Hallowed be Allah; what are you saying? Thereupon he said: I say that when we are in the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ we ponder over Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our very eyes and when we are away from Allah Messenger ﷺ we attend to our wives; our children; our business; most of these things pertaining to After-life slip out of our minds. Abu Bakr said: By Allah; I also experience the same. So I and Abu Bakr went to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said to him: Allah Messenger; Hanzala has turned to be a hypocrite. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: What has happened to you? I said: Allah Messenger; when we are in your company; we are reminded of Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our own eyes; but whenever we go away from you and attend to our wives; children and business; much of these things go out of our minds. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life; if your state of mind remains the same as it is in my presence and you are always busy in remembrance of Allah ; the Angels will shake hands with you in your beds and in your paths but; Hanzala; time should be devoted to the worldly affairs and time should be devoted to prayer and meditation. I said: What is the matter with the people that they are praying a special prayer ? She Aisha pointed towards the sky with her head. I said: Is it an unusual sign? She said: Yes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up for prayer for such a long time that I was about to faint. I caught hold of a waterskin lying by my side; and began to pour water over my head; or began to sprinkle water on my face. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then finished and the sun had brightened. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then addressed the people; after praising Allah and lauding Him; and then said: There was no such thing as I did not see earlier; but I saw it at this very place of mine. I ever saw Paradise and Hell. It was also revealed to me that you would be tried in the graves; as you would he tried something like the turmoil of the Dajjal. Asma said: I do not know which word he actually used qariban or mithl ; and each one of you would be brought and it would be said: What is your knowledge about this man? If the person is a believer; Asma said: I do not know whether it was the word AlMumin or AlMuqin he would say: He is Muhammad and he is the Messenger of Allah. He brought to us the clear signs and right guidance. So we responded and obeyed him. He would repeat this three times ; and it would be said to him: You should go to sleep. We already knew that you are a believer in him. So the pious man would go to sleep. One day Muadh Bin jabal said: In the times after you there would be trails in which riches would be abundant. During these trails the Quran would be easy so much so that every believer; hypocrite; man; woman; young; grown up; slave and free man will learn it. Then a man might say: What happened with the people that they do not follow me while I read the Quran? They are not going to follow me until I introduce a novelty for them other than it. So avoid that which is innovated in religion ; for whichever is innovated is an error. I warn you of the deviation of a scholar from right guidance; for sometimes Satan utters a word of error through the tongue of a scholar; and sometimes a hypocrites may speak a word of truth.
