SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6174Narrated Abu Huraira: People say that I have narrated many Hadiths The Prophet narration. Had it not been for two verses in the Quran; I would not have narrated a single Hadith; and the verses are: Verily those who conceal the clear sign and the guidance which We have sent down... up to Most Merciful. 2:159-160. And no doubt our Muhajir emigrant brothers used to be busy in the market with their business bargains and our Ansari brothers used to be busy with their property agriculture. But I Abu Huraira used to stick to Allah Messenger ﷺ contented with what will fill my stomach and I used to attend that which they used not to attend and I used to memorize that which they used not to memorize. The Chapter on Family And Judgments in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on What is said regarding the memorization of religious knowledge in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-7041Narrated Saeed Bin Jubair: I said to Ibn Abbas; Nauf AlBakali claims that Moses of Bani Israel was not Moses; the companion of AlKhadir. Ibn Abbas said; Allah enemy tells a lie! Ubai Bin Kaab narrated to us that Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Moses got up to deliver a sermon before Bani Israel and he was asked; Who is the most learned person among the people? Moses replied; I am the most learned. Allah then admonished Moses for he did not ascribe all knowledge to Allah only Then came the Divine Inspiration:- Yes; one of Our slaves at the junction of the two seas is more learned than you. Moses said; O my Lord ! How can meet him? Allah said; Take a fish in a basket and wherever the fish is lost; follow it you will find him at that place. So Moses set out along with his attendant Yusha Bin Noon; and they carried with them a fish till they reached a rock and rested there. Moses put his head down and slept. Sufyan; a sub-narrator said that somebody other than Amr said At the rock there was a water spring called AlHayat and none came in touch with its water but became alive. So some of the water of that spring fell over that fish; so it moved and slipped out of the basket and entered the sea. When Moses woke up; he asked his attendant; Bring our early meal 18.62. The narrator added: Moses did not suffer from fatigue except after he had passed the place he had been ordered to observe. His attendant Yusha Bin Noon said to him; Do you remember what happened when we betook ourselves to the rock? I did indeed forget about the fish... 18.63 The narrator added: So they came back; retracing their steps and then they found in the sea; the way of the fish looking like a tunnel. So there was an astonishing event for his attendant; and there was tunnel for the fish. When they reached the rock; they found a man covered with a garment. Moses greeted him. The man said astonishingly; Is there any such greeting in your land? Moses said; I am Moses. The man said; Moses of Bani Israel? Moses said; Yes; and added; may I follow you so that you teach me something of the Knowledge which you have been taught? 18.66. AlKhadir said to him; O Moses! You have something of Allah knowledge which Allah has taught you and which I do not know; and I have something of Allah knowledge which Allah has taught me and which you do not know. Moses said; But I will follow you. AlKhadir said; Then if you follow me; ask me no question about anything until I myself speak to you concerning it. 18.70. After that both of them proceeded along the seashore. There passed by them a boat whose crew recognized AlKhadir and received them on board free of charge. So they both got on board. A sparrow came and sat on the edge of the boat and dipped its beak unto the sea. AlKhadir said to Moses. My knowledge and your knowledge and all the creation knowledge compared to Allah knowledge is not more than the water taken by this sparrow beak. Then Moses was startled by AlKhadir action of taking an adze and scuttling the boat with it. Moses said to him; These people gave us a free lift; but you intentionally scuttled their boat so as to drown them. Surely you have... 18.71 Then they both proceeded and found a boy playing with other boys. AlKhadir took hold of him by the head and cut it off. Moses said to him; Have you killed an innocent soul who has killed nobody? Surely you have done an illegal thing! 18.74 He said; Didnt I tell you that you will not be able to have patient with me up to..but they refused to entertain them as their guests. There they found a wall therein at the point of collapsing. 18.75-77 AlKhadir moved his hand thus and set it upright repaired it. Moses said to him; When we entered this town; they neither gave us hospitality nor fed us; if you had wished; you could have taken wages for it; AlKhadir said; This is the parting between you and me I will tell you the interpretation of those things about which you were unable to hold patience.... 18.78 Allah Messenger ﷺ said; We wished that Moses could have been more patient so that He Allah could have described to us more about their story. Ibn Abbas used to recite:- And in front ahead of them there was a king who used to seize every serviceable boat by force. 18.79...and as for the boy he was a disbeliever. The Chapter on Moses And Prophets Moses And Alkhadir in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophetic Commentary on the Quran Tafseer of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari

He Abu Bakr said: Hallowed be Allah; what are you saying? Thereupon he said: I say that when we are in the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ we ponder over Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our very eyes and when we are away from Allah Messenger ﷺ we attend to our wives; our children; our business; most of these things pertaining to After-life slip out of our minds. Abu Bakr said: By Allah; I also experience the same. So I and Abu Bakr went to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said to him: Allah Messenger; Hanzala has turned to be a hypocrite. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: What has happened to you? I said: Allah Messenger; when we are in your company; we are reminded of Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our own eyes; but whenever we go away from you and attend to our wives; children and business; much of these things go out of our minds. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life; if your state of mind remains the same as it is in my presence and you are always busy in remembrance of Allah ; the Angels will shake hands with you in your beds and in your paths but; Hanzala; time should be devoted to the worldly affairs and time should be devoted to prayer and meditation. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-10077Narrated Anas: My paternal uncle Anas Bin AlNadr - after whom I was named - did not participate in the battle of Badr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. This distressed him and he said: I was absent from the first battle which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ attended. By Allah! If Allah gives me the opportunity to participate in another battle along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; then Allah will see what I will do! He said: He did not want to say more than that. A year later; he attended the battle of Uhud; where he saw Saad Bin Muadh and said: O Abu Amr where are you going? He said: I long for the fragrance of Paradise and I have found it near the mountains of Uhud. He fought them until he was killed. They found more than eighty wounds on his body; be they from blows of a sword; puncture wounds; or arrows. My paternal aunt AlRubai Bin AlNadr said: I could not recognize my brother except by his finger tips. And this Ayah was revealed: Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah; of them some have fulfilled their vow; and some of them are still waiting; but they have never changed in the least 33:23.The Chapter on Military Expedition Of Badr in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Chapters on Tafsir in Sunan AlTermithi

SunanAlNasai-017-001-11827Abu Yahya Sulaim Bin Amir; Damrah Bin Habib and Abu Talha h Nuaim Bin Ziyad said: We heard Abu Umamah AlBahili say: I heard Amrah Bin Abasah say: I said: O Messenger of Allah; is there any moment which brings one close to Allah than another; or any moment that should be sought out for remembering Allah? He said: Yes; the closest that the Lord is to His slave is in the last part of the night; so if you can be among those who remember Allah at that time; then do so. For prayer is attended and witnessed by the angels until the sun rises; then it rises between the two horns of the Shaitan; that is the time when the disbelievers pray; so do not pray until the sun had risen to the height of a spear and its rays have disappeared. Then prayer is attended and witness by the angels until the sun is directly overhead at midday; and that is the time when the gates of Hell are opened and it is stoked up. So do not pray until the shadows appear. Then prayer is attended and witnessed by angels until the sun sets; and it sets between the horns of a Shaitan; and that is the time when the disbelievers pray. The Chapter on Prayers And Engels in HodHood Indexing, The Book of the Times of Prayer in Sunan AlNasai
SunanAlNasai-017-001-12024It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: The first instance of Qasamah during the Aljahiliyah involved a man from Banu Hashim who was employed by a man from Quraish; from another branch of the tribe. He went out with him; driving his camels and another man from Banu Hashim passed by them. The leather rope of that man bag broke; so he said to the hired worker : Help me by giving me a rope with which to tie the handle of my bag; lest the camels run away from me. So he gave him a rope and he tied his gab with it. When they halted; all the camels legs were hobbled except one camel. The one who had hired him said: Why is his camel; out of all of them; not hobbled? He said: There is no rope for it. He said: Where is its rope? He said: A man from Banu Hashim passed by and the leather rope of his bag had broken; and he asked me to help him; he said: Help me by giving me a rope with which to tie the handle of my bag lest the camels run away from me; so I gave him a rope. He struck him with a stick; which led to his death. Then a man from Yemen passed by him the man from Banu Hashim; the man from Banu Hashim; just before he died and he the Hashimi man said: Are you going to attend the Pilgrimage? He said: I do not think I will attend it; but perhaps I will attend it. He said: Will you convey a message from me once in your lifetime? He said: Yes. He said: If you attend the pilgrimage; then call out; O family of Quraish! If they respond; then call out; O family of Hashim! If they respond; then ask for Abu Talib; and tell him that so and so killed me for a rope. Then the hired worker died. When the one who had hired him cam; Abu Talib went to him and said: What happened to our companion? He said: He fell sick and I took good care of him; but he died; so I stopped and buried him. He said: He deserved that from you. Some time passed; then the Yemeni man who had been asked to convey the message arrived at the time of the pilgrimage. He said: O family of Quraish! And they said: Here is Quraish. He said: O family of Banu Hashim! They said: Here is Banu Hashim. He said Where is Abu Talib? He said: Here is Abu Talib. He said: so and so asked me to convey a message to you; that so and so killed him for a camel rope. Abu Talib went to him and said Choose one of three alternatives that we are offering you. If you wish; you may give us one hundred camels; because you killed our companion by mistake: or if you wish; fifty of your men may swear an oath that you did not kill him; or if you wish; we will kill you in retaliation. He went to his people and told them about that; and they said: We will swear the oath. Then a woman from Banu Hashim; who was married to one of their men and had born him a child; came to Abu Talib and said: O Abu Talib; I wish that my son; who is one of these fifty men; should be excused from having to take the oath.; So the excused him. Then one of the men came to him and said: O Abu Talib; you want fifty men to take the oath in lieu of one hundred camels; which means that each man may give two camels instead; so here are two camels; take them from me; and do not make me take the oath. So he accepted them; and did not make him take the oath. Then forty-eight men came and took the oath. Ibn Abbas said: By the One in Whose hand is my soul; by the time a year has passed; none of those forty-eight men remained alive. The Chapter on Camels And Herdsmen Killing in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Qasamah During The Jahiliyah in Sunan AlNasai

He had a stick in his hand by which he began to scratch up the ground. He then raised his head and said : The place which every one of you and every soul of you will occupy in Hell or in Paradise has been recorded; and destined wicked or blesses. A man from among the people asked : Prophet of Allah! Should we not then trust simply in what has been recorded for us and abandon doing good deeds? Those who are among the number of the blessed will be inclined to blessing; and those of us who are among the number of the wicked will be inclined to wickedness. He replied : Go on doing good actions; for everyone is helped to do that for which he was created. Those who are among the number of wicked will be helped to do wicked deeds. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ then recited: So he who gives in charity and fears Allah ; and in all sincerity testifies to the best; we will indeed make smooth for him the path to bliss. Hadith PageArabic TextEnglish TranslationBook and Chapter
MuwataMalik-017-001-35471Malik said; There is no harm in someone who is in itikaf entering into a marriage contract as long as there is no physical relationship. A woman in itikaf may also be betrothed as long as there is no physical relationship. What is haram for someone in itikaf in relation to his womenfolk during the day is haram for him during the night. Yahya said that Ziyad said that Malik said; It is not halal for a man to have intercourse with his wife while he is in itikaf; nor for him to take pleasure in her by kissing her; or whatever. However; I have not heard anyone disapproving of a man; or woman; in itikaf getting married as long as there is no physical relationship. Marriage is not disapproved of for someone fasting. There is; however; a distinction between the marriage of someone in itikaf and that of someone who is muhrim; in that some one who is muhrim can eat; drink; visit the sick and attend funerals; but cannot put on perfume; whilst a man or woman in itikaf can put on oil and perfume and groom their hair; but cannot attend funerals or pray over the dead or visit the sick. Thus their situations with regard to marriage are different. This is the sunna as it has come down to us regarding marriage for those who are muhrim; doing itikaf; or fasting. The Chapter on Ramadan And Fasting And Kabah in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Divorce in Muwata Malik
