All the praises are for you. I will give alms again. And so he again went out with his alms and unknowingly gave it to an adulteress. Next morning the people said that he had given his alms to an adulteress last night. The man said; O Allah! All the praises are for you. I gave my alms to an adulteress. I will give alms again. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5963Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: On Eid AlFitr or Id ul Adha Allah Messenger ﷺ ﷺ went out to the Mousalla. After finishing the prayer; he delivered the sermon and ordered the people to give alms. He said; O people! Give alms. Then he went towards the women and said. O women! Give alms; for I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-Fire were you women. The women asked; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! What is the reason for it? He replied; O women! You curse frequently; and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. O women; some of you can lead a cautious wise man astray. Then he left. And when he reached his house; Zainab; the wife of Ibn Masud; came and asked permission to enter It was said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! It is Zainab. He asked; Which Zainab? The reply was that she was the wife of Ibn Masub. He said; Yes; allow her to enter. And she was admitted. Then she said; O Prophet of Allah! Today you ordered people to give alms and I had an ornament and intended to give it as alms; but Ibn Masud said that he and his children deserved it more than anybody else. I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Should I remain in Mecca behind my companions who are going with you to Medina ? The Prophet ﷺ said; If you remain behind; any good deed which you will do for Allah Sake; will upgrade and elevate you. May be you will live longer so that some people may benefit by you and some other i.e. infidels may get harmed by you. The Prophet ﷺ then added; O Allah! Complete the Migration of my companions and do not turn them on their heels. But the poor Saad Bin Khaula not the above mentioned Sad died in Mecca. The Prophet ﷺ asked him what happened to him. He said: I had sexual intercourse with my wife. He said: Give sadaqah alms. He said: I swear by Allah; I possess nothing with me; and I cannot do this. He said: Sit down. He sat down. While he was waiting; a man came forward driving his donkey loaded with food. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Where is the man who was burnt just now ? Thereupon the man stood up. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Give it as sadaqah alms. He asked: Messenger of Allah; to others than us ? By Allah. we are hungry; we have nothing to eat.
