O Prophet! When ye do divorce women, divorce them at their prescribed periods, and count (accurately), their prescribed periods: And fear Allah your Lord: and turn them not out of their houses, nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they are guilty of some open lewdness, those are limits set by Allah: and any who transgresses the limits of Allah, does verily wrong his (own) soul: thou knowest not if perchance Allah will bring about thereafter some new situation.
They said: "If he steals, there was a brother of his who did steal before (him)." But these things did Joseph keep locked in his heart, revealing not the secrets to them. He (simply) said (to himself): "Ye are the worse situated; and Allah knoweth best the truth of what ye assert!"

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1441Narrated AlAmash: I asked Abu Wail; Did you witness the battle of Siffin between Ali and Muawiya? He said; Yes; and added; Then I heard Sahl Bin Hunaif saying; O people! Blame your personal opinions in your religion. No doubt; I remember myself on the day of Abi Jandal; if I had the power to refuse the order of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; I would have refused it. We have never put our swords on our shoulders to get involved in a situation that might have been horrible for us; but those swords brought us to victory and peace; except this present situation. Abu Wail said; I witnessed the battle of Siffin; and how nasty Siffin was!The Chapter on Special Days Completing The Religion in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Judging made on the basis of opinion or Qiyas in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihMuslim-017-001-18098It has been narrated on the authority of Shaqiq who said: I heard Sahl Bin Hunaif say at Siffin: O ye people; find fault with your own discretion. By Allah; on the Day of Abu Jandal i. e. the day of Hudaibiya ; I thought to myself that; if I could; I would reverse the order of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the terms of the truce being unpalatable. By Allah; we have never hung our swords on our shoulders in any situation whatsoever except when they made easy for us to realise the goal envisaged by us; but this battle of yours seems to be an exception. SahihMuslim-017-001-22736Ubaid Bin Juraij said to Ahdullah Bin Umar Allah be pleased with them : Abdulrahman I find you doing four things which I do not see anyone among your companions doing. He said: Son of Juraij; what are these? Thereupon he said: You while circumambulating the Kaba do not touch but the two pillars situated on the side of yaman south ; and I find you wearing the sandals of tanned leather; and I find you with dyed beard and head; and I also found that; when you were at Mecca; the people pronounced Talbiya as they saw the new moon Dhu AlHijja ; but you did not do it till the 8th of Dhu AlHijja. Upon this Abdullab Bin Umar said: So far as the touching of the pillars is concerned; I did not see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ touching them but only those situated on the side of yaman. So far as the wearing of the shoes of tanned leather is concerned; I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wearing shoes without hair on them; and he wore them with wet feet after performing ablution; and I like to wear them. So far as the yellowness is concerned; I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dyeing head; beard and cloth with this colour and I love to dye my head; beard or cloth with this colour. And so far as the pronouncing of Talbiya is concerned; I did not see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pronouncing it until his camel proceeded on to Dhu AlHulaifa. The Chapter on Grooming The Beard in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 5 in Sahih Muslim

MuwataMalik-017-001-35270Yahya related to me from Malik from Thabit Ibn AlAhnaf that he married an umm walad of Abdulrahman Ibn Zayd Ibn AlKhattab. He said; Abdullah Ibn Abdulrahman Ibn Zayd Ibn AlKhattab summoned me and I went to him. I came in upon him and there were whips and two iron fetters placed there; and two of his slaves whom he had made to sit there. He said; Divorce her; or by He by whom one swears; I will do such-and-such to you! I said; It is divorce a thousand times. Then I left him and I saw Abdullah Ibn Umar on the road to Makka and I told him about my situation. Abdullah Ibn Umar was furious; and said; That is not divorce; and she is not haram for you; so return to your home. I was still not at ease so I went to Abdullah Ibn AlZubair who was the Amir of Makka at that time. I told him about my situation and what Abdullah Ibn Umar had said to me. Abdullah Ibn AlZubair said to me; She is not haram for you; so return to your home; and he wrote to Jabir Ibn AlAswad AlZuhra who was the Amir of Madina and ordered him to punish Abdullah Ibn Abdar-Rahman and to have him leave me and my family alone. I went to Madina; and Safiya; the wife of Abdullah Ibn Umar fitted out my wife so that she could bring her to my house with the knowledge of Abdullah Ibn Umar. Then I invited Abdullah Ibn Umar on the day of my wedding to the wedding feast and he came. The Chapter on Parents And Cloths in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Qirad in Muwata Malik
